Welcome to the Bosworth Independent College Website

Bosworth Independent College is relatively new in terms of tradition but we can boast an ever growing reputation for academic excellence. Providing first-class education in GCSE, A-level, University Foundation Programmes and English Language courses, we have established ourselves as one of the leading Independent schools in the UK. This achievement is all the more outstanding given that the College operates a non-selective policy.

Established in 1977 a steady growth in student numbers over two decades saw the main academic focus of the College move to Nazareth House in 1997. With our UK reputation growing and an ever increasing demand from International students, Bosworth acquired the Queens Building in the summer of 2005 to expand its academic services further. This allowed the College to offer University Foundation Programmes to students aged 17 – 21 in a range of different areas.

Bosworth has a cosmopolitan community with British student’s providing the backbone to an International student body, representing over 30 different nationalities. This cultured and comfortable environment is balanced by a very serious academic focus, where all students are expected to work to achieve their absolute maximum potential.

In the classroom the atmosphere is focused, cooperative, industrious and enthusiastic. There is the expectation that learning will take place and this is rarely challenged as students and teachers enjoy what they are doing. When not in classes students are required to be in a supervised Study Hall - thus ensuring that most of the substantial homework that is set is completed during the day.

Here at Bosworth we do not have a uniform policy and this allows our students greater independence and a freedom to express their personalities. Though it is a cliché, we really do believe that our students are and should be treated as individuals.

To fully appreciate the unique atmosphere that prevails in Bosworth a visit to the College is encouraged. You can then have an informal chat with either the Principal or Vice Principal and experience a personal tour of our academic facilities. If a visit to Bosworth is not possible then please navigate your way through our website or contact the admissions department with any questions you might have.
