Inter-Schools Show Jumping Competition
Student Isabel Simons, better known as Issy represented Bosworth in the show jumping competition on Friday 3rd June 2011.
Issy pictured above with her horse ‘Huff and Puff’ completed the course which consisted of 12 jumps. Issy rode in the 90cm and 100cm classes.
The 90cm class is the most popular with 85 competitors taking part in the event at the College Equestrian Centre in Keysoe, Bedfordshire. A very well attended event with schools competing from as far afield as Spalding and even Eton College.
Issy was unlucky in both events with one pole down in event 1 and a one pole touch in event 2, whilst pushing for a fast overall time.
We are very proud of her performance she completed the course with style!

Under 18 Table-Tennis Champ
Bosworth Independent College is very proud to announce that student Cavan Tian Vun Foo, from Malaysia, has just won the Northamptonshire County Table-Tennis (Single) Under 18 Championship 2010. Cavan joined our 18 month A Level programme in January 2010. He joined the local Table-Tennis club three months ago and currently trains with them two evenings a week. For the Singles title, whilst Cavan was seeded number one, in the Final he had to fight off competition from the Two Time Defending Champion, a true challenge. With a 2-0 lead his opponent fought back to 2-2 but he finally clinched it 3 sets to 2 to take the Under 18 Single title.
Cavan also competed in the Under 18 Doubles title, seeded number two for the doubles his partnership managed to beat the number one seeded pair. With his partner Aaron Ark he managed to hold off the competition in 3 sets to 2.
Every week Cavan will also take part in a League match and currently he is ranked 21/500 in this League.
Well done Cavan on your superb achievement within your first 4 months at Bosworth! We wish you continued success with the Northamptonshire County Club.
