Each year Bosworth Independent College has a growing number of students joining them to study the GCSE programme. Whilst the College has a strong reputation locally for its A-Level courses, many will not be aware that students join them from the age of 14 to study GCSE.

For a variety of reasons, a number of our current GCSE students transferred to Bosworth and chose to complete the one year intensive programme. Whilst this proves a challenge for the students the results have more than rewarded their efforts this year.

One of our local students Bethany Slinn (pictured above) who completed the one year intensive programme has celebrated 8 GCSE’s - 2 A* and 6 A grades and equally impressive one of our Polish students based in Northampton attained 6 GCSE’s – all A grades, both wonderful personal achievements.

Mike McQuin (Principal of Bosworth Independent College) explains; ‘I would like to see more pupils studying with us at GCSE level because having the students across a three or four year period helps us to ensure they achieve a good University place.’
