Community Participation

Some of our students are actively getting involved in the local community and taking part in events and activities organised outside of the college. Some of our female students have joined a local dance class and are learning Latin steps plusa younger student, and very keen footballer, joined a local football team and plays regularly at weekends. Some students keen to earn extra pocket-money and also practice their English have undertaken part-time week-end employment in local shops, and restaurants. Several students also participate in voluntary work at local charity shops and in a old people’s home. We believe that students benefit from taking part in work experience and activities outside of the college. For our overseas students this is especially relevant to improve their English and integrate into British society and these experiences add to their UCAS university application. Universities are always very impressed by students who get involved with events and activities outside of school.
