Bosworth offers and supports a wide range of student work experience and student volunteer opportunities

At Bosworth Independent College, many students take part in, and are encouraged, to seek student work experience and student volunteer opportunities. There are some employment opportunities within the college and we offer support and advice to place students in businesses outside the college.

For all GCSE students in the UK taking part in a student work experience is part of the course. Many of our other students also work at weekends and over the holidays.

• Self employed drums teacher (paid)
• Helping landscape gardener (paid)
• Cancer Research Shop (volunteer)
• Fish Market Art centre / Art assistant (volunteer)
• Old people's home in Milton Malsor (volunteer)
• Charity work for Cancer Research UK and Oxfam (volunteer)

Reasons for most of our overseas students to be taking part in a student work experience opportunity include:

• Improving their English by meeting other people
• Working in a group in a foreign environment
• Improves the student’s UCAS form
• Further submerges them in British culture
• Opportunities to get paid for the work!
